I’ve searched and I’ve searched, but I can’t seem to find any websites or blogs that specifically offer insight to the leaders of the fast food industry. Nothing that takes the vast management resources available and distills them into usable tricks for the fast food manager.
Therefore, I’m launching this blog as the first step in filling that void. Or perhaps the better term is RELAUNCHING, since this website has existed since 2007. You may, at one time in the last 14 years, have come across it and read it and liked it. You certainly wouldn’t be the only one. But I stopped updating in 2012 because I went through a severe depression that crippled my professional and personal lives. Bottom line, I didn’t feel like I had anything to offer fast food managers because I had failed as one.
The truth is that everyone has something to offer someone, no matter where on the journey of life they might be. Hokey wisdom from a 12-Step Program, but I’ve generally found it to be true.
It is my hope that this can grow into a community of first timers and seasoned professionals and that we can all help each other grow and become better managers. It repeatedly mystifies me how little is out there on the art and science of managing a fast food restaurant, where I’ve often heard it said that if you can manage one of these you can manage anything. Yet “only been a fast food manager” also seems to be professional strike against you in job hunting.
Together, let’s change this. Dive into the blog and podcast and help me.
